Drawing and painting was my first love
It’s what I naturally revert to when I’m not filming

You Didn’t Tell Me, But I Know 2024
There need not be remorse to know there are unalloyed parts of the heart.
You Didn’t Tell Me, But I know is about unsaid apologies and forgivenesses. That hurtful actions stem from a place of purity, a raw, honest need driving them. When you strip away everything external, what’s left in a person is often an unfiltered, innocent yearning for connection and acceptance.
Exhibited at The Crawlspace Gallery as part of a group exhibition called Silk and Steel.
Missed Things 2024

This painting explores the uncertainty of identity through the lens of missed experiences, connections, and opportunities. If so much of life is shaped by the randomness of luck and probability, how can we truly know if this is who we’re meant to be? The painting invites viewers to gaze across a vast, colorful landscape, as though standing atop the peak of a challenging hike. It evokes a sense of peace and acceptance, suggesting that every missed instance is, in fact, part of the life we’ve lived, just as every past experience could have been a missed opportunity on an alternate path.
Exhibited at Studio one Toi Tū, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland

Maybe You Knew Me 2023

I painted this after watching the movie Pieces of April. The last ten
minutes of the movie was utterly amazing to me and changed my life.
Maybe You Knew Me aims to portray the shift from mutual disconnection
between two people to the realisation that they’ve known each other all along.
Their bond transcends this world, and they will always be connected.
We love what we love because of those who love us, and traces
of connection can never be erased.
How Long Till I Can Begin Waiting 2024
I painted this in one day, non stop. I was feeling really frustrated about certain aspects of my life.
